Your personal information is stored securely using Supabase, a trusted, enterprise-grade database platform. Supabase encrypts data at rest and in transit, and provides role-based access controls to ensure that only authorized personnel can access stored information.
While no method of electronic storage is 100% secure, we take reasonable and industry-standard measures to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
SMS/Text Message Communications
If you provide your phone number and explicitly opt in by checking the SMS consent box on our forms, you may receive educational text messages from The Water Awareness Foundation. By opting in, you consent to receive recurring automated text messages at the phone number provided. Consent is not a condition of any purchase or service.
Message frequency: Message frequency varies. You may receive up to 4 messages per month.
Opt-out: You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any text message you receive from us. After opting out, you will receive a one-time confirmation message and no further texts will be sent.

Message & data rates: Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. The Water Awareness Foundation is not responsible for any charges from your carrier.
Supported carriers: SMS messages are supported on major U.S. carriers including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, and others. Service may not be available on all carriers.
We do not share, sell, or rent your phone number or SMS consent information to any third parties for their marketing purposes. Your phone number is used solely for the purpose of sending you educational water quality information from The Water Awareness Foundation.
Cookies and Tracking
Our website uses minimal cookies, limited to those necessary for basic site functionality and anonymous analytics. We use analytics tools to understand general traffic patterns, such as which pages are most visited and how users navigate our site.
